Creating art is a process of exploration for me. For the new Ootid I wanted to go big and impactful, so I started playing around with shapes until I found an approach that had the desired effect.
At the same time as I'm thinking about shapes, I also start thinking about patterns and colors for a background. Here I have my blank background, and I started with a beautiful piece of patinated copper.
Here are some shapes welded together and ready to place on my background.
